The Â鶹ÊÓƵ TRIO Step-by-Step Child Development Program (CCAMPIS) is a federally funded grant program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education
and under the auspices of TRIO Programs at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. The program is designed to support
Â鶹ÊÓƵ student-parents while completing their education.Ìý Student-parents who are eligible
may receive financial support for childcare costs while in class.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Student-parents must meet the following criteria in order to receive a subsidy:
- Legal guardian of the child
- Enrolled full time (minimum of 12 credit hours for fall and spring semesters; 6 credit
hours for summer semester)
- Pell Grant eligible or income eligible
- Enrolled and in good standing at Â鶹ÊÓƵ: GPA of 2.0
- Provide an educational plan developed with your academic advisor
- Apply each semester
Obligations:
- Complete a survey designed to evaluate the Â鶹ÊÓƵ TRiO Step-by-Step CCAMPIS Child Development
Program
- Notify Â鶹ÊÓƵ TRiO Step-by-Step CCAMPIS Child Development Program of any changes
- Submit verification of meeting with TRiO advisor each semester to maintain an academic
plan ensuring student-parent remains on target for degree completion
- Participate in at least one Â鶹ÊÓƵ TRiO Step-by-Step CCAMPIS Child Development Program
approved family event, one financial literacy training, and one parent workshop each
semester
