Â鶹ÊÓƵ salutes its veterans Nov. 7; first female brigadier general to speak

All active and retired veterans who are current students or employees of the University of Louisiana at Monroe will be honored at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Scott Plaza near the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Library.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Veterans Day program will feature guest speaker and Â鶹ÊÓƵ sociology graduate General Joanne Sheridan (B.A. ’83), the first ever female brigadier general for the Louisiana National Guard.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ President Dr. Nick J. Bruno and Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Wayne Brumfield will also speak.

Students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community are welcome to attend.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Office of Career Connections and the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Veterans Day Committee are sponsoring the event.
