Fall 2003 Convocation at Â鶹ÊÓƵ
The University of Louisiana at Monroe will hold
the Fall 2003 Convocation, a celebration of the opening of the
academic year, this coming Monday Aug. 25. The event is scheduled
to begin 5 p.m. in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. At 4:15 p.m., all Â鶹ÊÓƵ
students, faculty and staff are invited to gather near the Â鶹ÊÓƵ
Library to join the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Sound of Today (SOT) Marching Band. At
4:30, the traditional march to Fant-Ewing Coliseum will begin.
Once in the Coliseum, the SOT will play more music and remarks
will be made by Â鶹ÊÓƵ President James Cofer, Head Football Coach
Charlie Weatherbie,and others. The crowd will be asked to sing
the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Fight Song and Alma Mater. After the Convocation,
the SOT will lead a march to "The Grove" for GroveStock,
a celebration of food, music, and fun.
