MONROE, La. — The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Wind Ensemble will present their final performance of the semester on Thursday
at 7:30 pm in Brown Theater.Â
The Wind Ensemble is comprised of the finest student musicians on campus and is conducted
by Dr. Derle R. Long, Director of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA). Guest conductor
for this concert is Dr. Jason Rinehart, Assistant Director of Bands and Director of
Athletic Bands at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. There is no admission charge for this performance.
The repertoire selected for this performance includes Head Rush by Â鶹ÊÓƵ alum Jay Bocook, Symphony for Band by Vincent Persichetti, Festive Overture by Dimitri Shostakovich, and Variations on a Hymn by Louis Bourgeois by Claude T. Smith.Â
